Emily, I Am Kam
Synopsis
Emily, I Am Kam celebrates the legacy of Australia’s most significant and prolific female artist – Emily Kam Kngwarray and explores the power of her work to protect her country, Alhalker.
The film questions what legacy and success looks like for this extraordinary First Nataions artist, revealing it is much more than the 3,000 paintings Emily left behind.
Using archival recordings, audio and visuals from the mid 1970’s onwards, many of which have never been seen or heard, it gives Emily the opportunity to speak for herself.
