Ripple Effect Band, who came together in 2006 as a school band, are an all female band, reflecting the multilingual nature of Maningrida, singing in their languages of Ndjébbana, Na-kara, Burarra, Kunwinjku and Kune as well as English.
Their original name was the Frontstreet Girls, a cheeky play on the Backstreet Boys.
Ripple Effect won Best High School Band at the 2006 Garma Festival.
Band members: Marita Wilton (vocals), Tara Rostron (drums), Jodie Kell (guitar), Jolene Lawrence, Stephanie James, Patricia Gibson, Rachel Thomas and Rona Lawrence.

Album formats
- 10": 10 inch vinyl records were played at 45 or 33 1/3 rounds per minute (rpm). The former could hold 9, the latter 12 minutes of music per side.
- 7": 7 inch records (often referred to as 45s) were played at 45 rpm or 33 1/3 rpm, with about 4:30 or 6 minutes of music per side.
- LP: Long play, is a vinyl record played at 33 1⁄3 rpm with a 12 or 10-inch diameter.

Wárrwarra means “the Sun” in Ndjébbana language. It expresses that the band is from different tribes, different language groups, saltwater and freshwater country, black and white, but all under one sun.
